A new feature has been added to the Algolia Search service to provide you with better and more useful information for error responses.
Details of validation errors
Users can validate Algolia credentials, such as validating the searchKey attribute for a specific application and index name. However, sometimes this validation results in an error.
With the latest feature update, the error message is more descriptive. The new complex details attribute has two fields named type and message that carry information about the error type. The attribute also provides a descriptive explanation of the error.
If validation fails, the type and message attributes (being part of the details attribute) may contain the following values:
- invalid_api_key: The searchKey is invalid or does not grant access to the index.
- unknown_application_id: The application ID is invalid.
- invalid_index: An index with the specified name does not exist.
